8th Alakajam (2020)

This jam was a 48 hour jam in early 2020. The theme for the jam was Depth. I created this project using entirely with Unreal 4 blueprints system. This was my first project I had done with unreal engine 4 with just a few tutorials beforehand.

The plan for this project was to have the player to delve deep down into a maze of tunnels and collect an object and then be forced to make their way back to the surface while a monster chases them from the deep.

The biggest problem with the game at the end of the jam was due to the fact that the instructions were easily missed. This led to some players being unsure of their objective. I would like at some point to add a menu which prompts the player with instructions before the game begins rather than relying on the debug text.
